At approximately 2 AM last night on 1/28/2024,  our secondary internet connection out of Harris Hall went off line.  The provider has started to investigate the outage and has determined the root cause being a fiber cable damage.  Fiber cable damage was caused by a car accident where a utility pole was damaged.  This utility pole held power and fiber cables.  The power company is working at the moment to restore services and then fiber repairs can be started.   Our provider will be working throughout the day to restore services as fast as possible.

We currently do not have any reports of internet or network outages on campus.   We are sharing this incident as informational purpose.
