Please note that existing subscriptions cannot be migrated to the new platform. To continue receiving important IT notifications, you’ll need to resubscribe to the services and communication channels you wish to follow.

We are investigating a sporadic issue with various Google services, which includes (but not limited to) Google sign-in, Google Drive, Google Docs Editors, Google Cloud, Google Meet, Gemini, and others. We’re working to fix the problem as quickly as we can.
During this time, Google sign-in may not work and Google apps may take longer to load or fail to load.
Smartsheet is also now reporting it is affected by the outage.
Adobe is also now reporting degraded performance of certain web applications such as Express is impacting some users.

- Google Workspace has reported services (Gmail, Drive, Docs Editors, Meet, etc.) have been restored.
- Google Cloud services are still down but a fix has been identified and is in progress.
- Smartsheet is working on a fix.
- Adobe is still investigating the issue.
- Adobe web services (Express, Portfolio, etc) are now fully restored for all customers.

The Academic Technologies team is aware of the "Expired Licensing" notices customers are seeing and we have been actively engaged with Adobe to renew VCU's enterprise agreement for Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other Adobe software products. Updated (6/3/2025)! Adobe Agreement Renewal Complete!
The Academic Technologies team has now completed VCU's Adobe enterprise agreement renewal! As part of this renewal, ALL VCU Adobe accounts are being automatically migrated to new (equivalent) software licenses. If you already have an Adobe license assigned to your VCU Adobe account, you do not need to do anything and your license and level of access remains the same. There are power outages around Monroe Park campus that have created network (internet) outages for the following buildings:
Academic Learning Commons
Cabell Library
Gitner House
Glading
West Carry parking deck
Power continues to create network (internet) issues. James W Black Music Center and Moseley House have also been impacted.
Dominion Power has been dispatched and there is no current ETA on the power restoration.
Power has been restored and all buildings are back up and operational.
We are currently experiencing a campus-wide internet outage. Our team has identified a resolution and is working on implementing it onsite. We will provide further updates as they become available.
The campus-wide outage is continuing. We are still working on implementing a solution. Some web pages and applications may be intermittently accessible to those off-campus.
Services are coming back online and our technicians are working to confirm the restoration of all services.
VCU's network and services have been restored.
We are investigating an issue with SAS servers which are impacting the VCU Reporting Center and SAS Enterprise Guide. We’re working to fix the problem as quickly as we can.

We are continuing to experience widespread internet connectivity issues impacting systems on both campuses. We are currently in escalated communication with our external vendor to determine the root cause and implement a fix.
Services are starting to come back online and work continues to restore all services.
The ISP for the Universities backup internet connected has experienced a service outage due to a commercial power outage. Current estimates of power restoration are for July 21st. The Universities primary internet connection is up and operational. There has been no disruption to the Universities internet services.
ImageNow is currently unavailable. Staff is researching the cause and troubleshooting and trying to resolve.
